Lake Louise is a beautiful destination nestled between Fairview Mountain and Mount St Piran. The water is a gorgeous emerald color which comes from rock flour carried from melted ice from the glaciers on the West end of the lake. Louise Creek found on the East side of the lake drains the glacier run-off which flows into the Bow River.
If you want to stay at Chatteau Lake Louise, the hotel right on the East side of the lake, the price is in the $700 range. I won’t be staying there anytime soon, but the visit was amazing.
